I love weekends

April 10th, 2006

We did go to the drive in this weekend. The only movie I paid attention to was Ice Age 2, The Meltdown – I can really relate to that Scrat fellow! And while he was, as usual, trying to get a nut, I was getting little bitty bites of chicken fries from B.K. At some point, I gave them a very low rating in my drive-thru reviews, but I have to say, those chicken fries are deelicious! Then towards the end of the second movie, which I can’t remember at all, I got a couple bites of corn dog; oh, and in the middle I got a few of my traditional movie snacks by three dog bakery. Other than that I slept a lot, because it was cold! And we were on the side with the bats not the cats (yes there are bats) but it’s still too cold for bats. It may be still too cold for the drive in, but we like to battle the elements! Anyway, as usual it was a good time.

fun@home

We did not go to the drive in, there were no new, good movies to see. But Min came over again on Saturday, and Sunday I found tasty ways to have fun at home! bone

my arch nemesis

March 30th, 2006

The fox! I hate the fox! He’s always standing there at the entrance to our neighborhood, looking menacing. It’s my job to put him in his place, each and everytime we come & go, day or night, rain or shine!

Me & Min

March 28th, 2006

Min came over for the day on Sunday.   withmin1

I wouldn’t say me & min are friends exactly, we’re more like cousins. You get along with your cousins but you probably only hang out with them cause your family expects you to. We used to fight a lot, but we’re not pups anymore – so now we just, you know… chill.

Sunday we chilled on a long, windy walk – it was pretty cool!   with min 3

At the movies..

March 26th, 2006

It’s time again for my drive-in movie reviews – and this week was great! I don’t even know what movies were playing, but from what I heard they were all terrible so maybe that’s a good thing. The great part was we went to Sonic, a different kind of drive-in (an arguably even better kind of drive-in) before the movies. This means my movie snacks consisted of popcorn chicken, which gets four stars from me! (you didn’t expect me to use a thumbs up / thumbs down rating system did you?) Then half way thru the second movie I got small samples from everybody else’s movie snacks which included popcorn, a soft pretzel, and even a little burrito – an excellent triple feature! It was also exciting because I spotted my first drive-in cat of the season. It was a black one, like a ninja cat, sneaking around plotting to scavenge my movie snacks I suspect. I gave him a good growling at and he scurried away in fear.

My aunt Suky decided to come along with us this week, and while I love her very much that made the back of the CRV very cramped – which really cramped my style because by the time the opening credits for the third movie begin, it’s time for me to stretch out for a movie nap. But it was so crowded I had to try to find a spot to just curl up. She’s also really loud and they just kept laughing and carrying on like it was some kind of mobile slumber party. How am I supposed to snooze thru that? But it was very chilly so the extra body heat wasn’t such a bad thing. Overall it was a crazy, crowded, but tasty trip to the drive-in! Tune in next time…

Fluffy & Comfy

comforter.JPG  Thanks for getting the comforters dry cleaned, guys. They’re so much fluffier now! Obviously I’m going to have to spend some time getting the aroma back to normal, so please hold all my calls.

Kylie’s Drive In Movie Reviews

March 19th, 2006

Last summer we discovered a fun form of family entertainment – the Drive In! You get two or three movies, and more importantly movie snacks! There are also crazy cats running around all the time. It’s great! And now that the drive in has re-opened for the season I’ve decided to share my experience and expert opinions in my diary by providing Drive In Reviews!

This, our first week at the drive in this year, we saw three movies. First was Fun with Dick and Jane, and I got two little cookies and a few licks on mom’s strawberry flavored flash pop, which basically a light-up lollipop, very tasty. They said the movie was pretty funny but I don’t approve of them using a bark collar on Spot. Towards the end of the movie I got a little bit of root beer, my favorite. The next movie was Date Movie I think, and nobody really wanted to see this one so we goofed off and mom went to the sanck bar which was great because then I got two bites of a corn dog and a little taste of nachos, followed by a nice nap. The last movie was Underwold 2, but by then it was so cold that I stayed under the blanket, and I apparently didn’t miss anything good, except some m&m’s which I’m not allowed to have anyway.

So in spite of the fact that it was freezing, and even rained half the time so the cats did not make an appearance, and from what I heard the movies really sucked, we all had a good time and I’m glad the drive in is back! Stay tuned for more drive in movie reviews!

Out & About

March 14th, 2006

The weather is crazy around here! On sunday, when I was snoozing on the couch it was snowing like crazy outside. Now, just two days later it was nice enough to take a nice long walk.

Editor’s Note: No prarie dogs were harmed during Kylie’s walk today, in fact for her safety as well as theirs she keeps her distance (whether she likes it or not).
